about

POSSIBLE SPOILERS IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN THE RAINS OF CASTAMERE/3x9 OF THE SHOW OR READ A STORM OF SWORDS.

Inspired by Game of Thrones/A Song of Ice and Fire by George R.R. Martin.

This is about Arya basically with parts from her various life stages. Season 1 (Game of Thrones) is the 3rd verse. Season 2 (Clash of Kings) is the 1st verse. Season 3 (Storm of Swords) ish is verse 2. The chorus is basically Season 4 (Storm of Swords). And then the bridge is probably also Season 4. My favorite part is the very end which is definitely after The Rains of Castamere...but it can also be taken as when Arya first has to leave King's Landing as Arry.

lyrics

I count them on my fingers
Before I go to bed
I find them in the thoughts
That cloud inside my head
The names of every person
The names of every friend
The people they have slaughtered for
The crown upon their heads

No one dares oppose them
The Lannisters, the lions
Too scared they might come clawing
Clawing out their eyes
But one day I’ll avenge them
One day I’ll be free
I’m saving up my energy
So they’ll remember me

I know that I am just one but
I know that the war’s only just begun
And I’m fighting for the lost ones
I’m fighting for the dead
I’m fighting for my family
And all the things they said
Because of all the things I know
The Lannisters always pay their debts

I’m quiet as a shadow
Quick as a snake
I’m calm as still water
My hands never shake
I know that fear cuts deeper than
The swiftest of swords
So I’ll keep on believing that
My life won’t be short

CHORUS

But winter is coming like a double-edged sword
And the northern winds are blowing it’s something you can’t afford
So I will be strong
I’ll keep moving on
And I’ll fight for what is lost

CHORUS

And you owe me
You owe me
A mother a brother a sister a friend
A wolf and A father and who I was then
And I don’t know where I’m going
But I do know where this ends
I’ll fight for the lost ones
And cut off your head
